🎆 Grimmjow's First New Years Sleepover! 🎆

[ After the situation on the balcony, things had calmed down a little. Yui and Grimmjow had separated for a brief time, but only so that Yui could go get a few things since she was spending the night with him. Her pajamas and a few toiletries, and she let Melissa know that she would be gone for the evening for "New Years Festivities." Melissa seemed to have bought it and reminisced about being a kid again (odd for a doll, but Melissa was odd to begin with).

After that, she'd hurried back to Grimmjow's room. It was the only one of the Arrancar's rooms that she knew where was without having to seriously think about it, since it was the only one she'd been to unless she needed to drag one of them out to actually attend class or to bring them something. Grimmjow's she'd been to frequently though, for those reasons and far more intimate ones. (It was best to just come over first thing in the morning or he'd surprise her later in the day at a far less appropriate time too..)

Now that she was settled and changed into her jammies, Yui made her way to Grimmjow's bed to sit on the edge of it, folding her legs atop the duvet. ]

[ She had that chiding tone that she took on sometimes, having no problem talking back to him, even if right now it was just an affectionate, joking thing. ]

I'm only special to you.

[ She pulled his hand up to her mouth, pressing her lips against it. ]

Don't throw a fit if I do it again, I'll just call ya whatever I feel like at the time anyways.

[but he was smirking at least, enjoying her company. he didn't care if she chided him or joked back, it amused him and she was definitely free to do so. he watched her as she kissed at his hand, and grimmjow just blinked while feeling the affectionate sensation.]

...When graduation comes, I'll find a way to your world, fuck it.

[ Yui looked surprised when he said that, enough that it even threw her off from chiding him about calling her whatever he wanted. ]

If you get my hopes up, it's going to be even harder.

[grimmjow didn't hesitate to answer her, his tone low and he was simply whispering.]

It's not gettin' your hopes up since I'll definitely do it.

[he didn't know how just yet, but he didn't want to be without yui.]

[ She turned her head, looking into his eyes after he whispered that. He certainly seemed truthful, even if she wasn't sure it was possible.. especially with how he said that she wouldn't be able to see him. But she smiled softly and held his hand a little tighter. ]

I'll wait for you, then.

[it'll be hard since she won't be able to see him, but he will have to figure out a proper way of getting around that in due time as well. he just held her hand right back, settling himself in beside her as he felt himself grow more tired. soon graduation was coming, and the very thought made his stomach twist.

the day was finally here. it was time for graduation, and yui had helped all the other espada to properly understand humans. while he hadn't enjoyed sharing his yui with any of the other arrancar, he knew it was necessary. he wanted all her time to be for him- and she knew it, but in the end the time they did have together didn't feel anywhere long enough. there was a ceremony for them all, a rather extravagant celebration, but grimmjow had ducked away from the festivities. he wouldn't normally be okay with such a party- but now he was definitely more grumpy than usual about it. grimmjow leaned against the wall of one of the buildings in the area, music playing in the distance, and he stared off at nothing in particular. his frown went from his regular lineface to a complete and total scowl. he nearly growled to himself, and that was simply because he was so ticked off at the idea of leaving yui. he would go to her (if she didn't find him eventually) soon enough, he just wanted to be alone momentarily to sort out his anger.

he promised he would go to her, and he meant it, but..,. but dammit, what if he couldn't get her to see him? what if he fucked up over there and exerted too much of his spiritual pressure and killed her? here they had limiters on, she was safe... but he was never one to control his reiatsu on normal days. there were so many things that could go wrong.... but he would find her, he would figure this out... he promised he would.]

[ Yui had spent time making sure that everyone was having a fun time, celebrating with each of them and being overall merry. It was fun, but as the night moved on, she noticed that Grimmjow wasn't exactly partaking with everyone.

She knew why. It was the same reason there was a pit in her stomach despite her being happy that they all made it.

Once she'd made her rounds and spent some time with everyone, she departed from the party as well to go look for him. He probably wanted to be alone, but.. if this was going to be their last day together until Grimmjow found a way for them to be together again, then she didn't want to squander it. She finally found him, speaking up before she approached him. ]

Grimmjow.

[...he had sensed her before she had even arrived.

after this, he would no longer have his limiter on... but even so, he just had a feeling she would come and find him eventually. at first he didn't look at her, he still just stared off at nothing.... but soon he turned to glance at her.]

....Hn. [he thought to himself for a moment, about what to say, but then he decided against it. grimmjow just gestured for her to come closer... he wanted to touch her, to hold her right now. party be damned, while this may not be the last time they see each other, it's the last time for a long time.]

[ Of course he did. And of course she would. If she didn't find them, then she wouldn't get a chance to say goodbye. Even if it wasn't forever, she wanted to at least say those words, so they didn't have any regrets if something happened and Grimmjow couldn't figure out how they could see each other again.

Yui would try too, of course, but she wasn't sure where she would even begin. She couldn't exactly tell her father "help I'm in love with an arrancar, how do I up my reiatsu so I don't pass out when I see him." For one thing, he wouldn't even know what that meant, she was sure. For another, worrying her father wasn't high on her list of priorities. But she would search for other ways, or at least try. She wasn't going to give up so easily. ]

I don't expect you to be the life of the party, but it is partly for you. You should try to enjoy it.

[always nagging at him... seriously? he wasn't exactly in the mood for any of her idiotic lectures.

grimmjow just rolled his eyes at her words, not giving a shit about the party either way. he pushed him off of the wall, and he reached out to her wrist. pulling her close to him now, he wrapped an arm around her back in order to hold her against him. he didn't exactly want to talk about it, he had promised to find her again... so even thinking about saying goodbye was such bullshit to him.]

Just stop talking about the party. [he doesn't want to hear it.]

[ Yui stumbled forward when he pulled her, both of her hands reaching up reflexively to stop herself from splatting face-first into his chest. Once she was adjusted, relaxing in his arms, she moved hers from between the two of them to wrap around him. She knew exactly why he was acting this way. ]

Do you want to stay like this for a little while?

[at least she understood, he didn't feel like explaining himself at all. it was so fucking stupid- why was he even upset about this? she had brought force so many different emotions within him already that he barely knew what to do with himself.]

Yeah.

[he didn't say anything else, he simply brought his other arm around her in order to hug her tighter. grimmjow lowered his head, he allowed his cheek (the one free of his mask) to rest against the top of her head, simply enjoying her presence. he basked in the sensation of her warm reiatsu, it was faint but it was familiar, and he wanted to remember it clearly for when he would have to find her again.]

[ Grimmjow had only spoken one word, but he'd said a lot more than that with his body language. Making sure that she was close, even practically nuzzling her head, basking in her presence... It was ridiculously affectionate, even if he didn't say it. ]

I love you too, Grimmjow, and I'm going to miss you.

[ He hadn't said it, but he didn't need to. Yui's hand moved up on his back,then reached up to lightly stroke the hair on the back of his head. Comforting, affectionate. She couldn't pull him closer into the hug, he'd already made sure they were close as could be, but she could give him a repeating, steady movement. Something constant; as inconstant as she would soon be to Grimmjow while they figured this out, it felt right. ]

[she already understood his feelings, so he was definitely certain that he didn't need to voice them. he didn't want to anyway, he just wanted to keep on feeling her reiatsu.

he felt the sensation of her hand running through his hair, he took in her scent and listened to her carefully... and he was going to use all of this to simply find her again. he had promised, and he was definitely determined.]

Wait for me, okay?

I will.

[ She didn't hesitate when she said that, quickly agreeing to his words. She would miss him terribly until the day that he got to her again. ]

You remember my address?

[ She'd given it to him before, even written it down, but she didn't know if he'd actually kept the little note she left or not. Finding her wouldn't be the issue, it'd be making it so that she could actually see him. In the end, they were separate beings, their worlds too separate when not brought together by a greater being here in the school. ]

Yeah.

[he still has her address, but he would definitely rely more on his power to sense reiatsu in order to find her rather than just that. still, it would lead him to her- and he would find her from her energy after that.

grimmjow leaned away from her now a bit, and he went to cup her chin. he forced her to look up at him, and he saw those tears of hers forming.]

You're my queen, so I'll definitely find you again.

[ Yui looked at him, feeling those tears roll down her cheek shortly after he tilted her head up. She reached up to wipe them. She knew exactly why these tears existed, exactly why she didn't want to leave even if she knew she had to go home and she missed the people there terribly. Somehow it felt like just being able to visit them instead of being trapped could solve that problem, but instead it was an ultimatum of one or the other, and the choice had been made for her every time against her will.

Once she wiped her eyes, she nodded and gave a little smile to Grimmjow, though her heart clearly wasn't in it. ]

I'll wait for you as long as I have to.
